Gentlemanship
I was brought up to be an educated person, people tell me that I am, but there’s one thing that I never understood. Why do we have to let women go first, like getting into an elevator, shouldn’t a man go first to see if everything is ok? Imagine that the elevator is broken and falls when you get your foot inside (hey, just giving an example), what a real gentleman you are if you let some lady go first and die in the elevator abyss! And then there’s the getting out of the elevator, even if you are the person positioned closest to the door, you must let all the ladies get out, and then, when the elevator is lady-free, all the dudes jump to the door, stepping on each other to get out. What happened to the equality? I don’t know shit about feminism, and I don’t want to, but I’m sure it’s not about making people feel different, even in stupid and ordinary situations like getting in and out of an elevator. I’m gonna have a tea now, my head hurts :P.
