Please shut up
Why do people who use Linux and MacOS X care so much about Windows? I don’t get it, people just can’t stop talking about it, in a bad way of course, but my point is, if you don’t like it, if you don’t use it why do you bother to talk about it? Everybody knows it sucks, everybody knows it’s insecure, but I don’t want to hear that from you, you don’t use it, so you don’t know! Just ignore it and continue living with your shiny super secure OS and don’t talk about it, because any type of publicity, good or bad, is still publicity.
One tired windows user.

Amen brother
And the thing is, when I actually try one different OS (MacOSX or Linux [which I know better]) I always carry my “Ok, I’m ready to be impressed” atitude … but no dice, things aren’t all that different and further more I use ONE OS but a whole bunch of apps (most of them run on different OS’s) so .. why all the hate, huh ?
I guess it’s a cultural thing, “Let’s stick it to the man” (except TurtleNeck Jobs is errrr also The Man, but he’s idolized) .. ahh heck, let them speak I guess

I would gladly forget windows and live on my life with other OSs. Unfortunately, MS wants to force-feed me its software, so I must stand my ground against it. For the latest episode on a twenty year long soap opera, read about OOXML, MS’s competitor against ODF.

In a nutshell, governments are starting to standardize on open document formats, namely ODF. Open formats allow people to switch editor software (spreadsheets, text processors, etc), so pose a real danger to world dominance. Hence, MS is fighting tooth and nail to have an absurd standard approved instead of a sane one that would be simple to implement and completely specified.
Or, more simply put, the world hasn’t been black and white for a long time now.

@Sérgio, you have a good point, you know what you’re talking about, you’re clearly not some sort of fanboy, those are the people I’m tired of.

What annoys me the most are people who are saying that Linux and Mac OSX are SOOO much better than Windows, but when you ask them what OS they use at home they answer ‘Windows’.
If it’s worst, why not use Linux? I mean I could understand you not wanting to buy a Mac to run Mac OS, but Linux works on PCs and I don’t see most people who are trying to sel-promote themselves as very alternative use it.
They should at least admit that each OS has its positive and negative points and uses…
