Oh fascist world!
Only in a country like Portugal there could be a tv show to elect the greatest Portuguese personality of all time where the winner was a fascist that contributed to the delay of the country against the rest of Europe. I can’t really understand these results, some say it’s due to the people’s insatisfaction of the current government, but to me it seems that the problem with the hole thing was that only fascists and communists (Álvaro Cunhal, the late communist leader was second) voted for the damn thing, since no one else really bothered to vote. Oh man, this is just sad.

You are aware that this contest is a copy of similar contents held in other countries? In the USA Ronald Regan won. In the UK Churchil won.

Yes I am aware, I think they had it in France too, but I don’t think the results were so disastrous!

Well, c’mon… Ronald Reagan didn’t turn the US into a poor-backwards-rural-iliterate country while the rest of europe was progressing fast. (Yes, Salazar didn’t either, but he sure did his best to keep it that way).
I say, if Portugal weren’t a EU member country, we would already be under another dictatorship for sure. The people has no memory and, even worse, seems to like strong, cruel, personalities as rulers.
